The Broadway Show 'Hamilton'

I'm still figuring out how to exactly work this blog but I'm progressing and am actually kind of excited for this assignment. For the most part all of you are going to read the first 3 sentences of this post and get bored but please, read on. We all live in the "Big Apple" so we are all surrounded by major opportunities and entertainment. It's pretty exciting. I happened to be part of this wonderful excitement and last night saw the Broadway show, 'Hamilton'. Its about Alexander Hamilton and his story but instead of the traditional Broadway melodies all the singing and dancing was rather modern. What I mean by 'modern' is that much of the singing was in rap-form and most of the movement was either hip hop or a contemporary style. It was pretty amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for good quality entertainment. To get to my point though all of the choreography kind of reminded me of the new dance we're learning in class. It had sharp movements and some of it was really quick, but it had a certain smoothness to it all. The picture down below shows some of the movements I'm talking about. If you are to get anything of this post it's that you should probably go look up 'Hamilton' and listen to the amazing cast recording. Thanks for reading this, Pippa :)
